CCPM Helps Create a ‘CP Friendly’ Easter Egg Hunt in Orange County

Easter egg hunts can be wonderful events for children. But not all kids experience them the same. Running around, bending over and reaching up to look for their treasured eggs in a hidden spot can leave many children with Cerebral Palsy feeling completely defeated.

As challenging as it is for them to perform regular daily activities already, not being able to participate in special events like these can be especially heartbreaking.

Because of missed opportunities such as these, Children’s Cerebral Palsy Movement is constantly striving to provide children and families with moments that most take for granted. As parents in the CP community, creating a sense of “normalcy” for our children can be difficult and isolating. Our goal is always to push the boundaries of what CP children can do by providing them with exciting ways to grow as a normal kid.

This Saturday, April 6th, we are partnering with Grace City Irvine at Jeffrey Trail Middle School in Irvine, California for the Hop to It Easter Extravaganza! This carnival-like event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and is free for everyone to enjoy. Registration begins at 9:45 a.m.

Children’s Cerebral Palsy Movement will be hosting a magnetic egg hunt for mobility challenged children. We invite you and your family to join us to connect with other CP families, enjoy light snacks and refreshments from Tutto Fresco, and participate in more fun activities at our booth and beyond. We are honored to be helping put on this amazing event for our community!

Aside from our booth, Hop To It! will include:

Specialized Egg Hunts for Other Kids with Special Needs
A Visit from the Easter Bunny and other characters
Train Rides
Games & Activities
A Petting Zoo
Delicious Snacks & Drinks
A visit from the local Police and Fire Department
And So Much More!

We are keeping our mission of helping CP families experience joy, a sense of community and improved quality of life through this early Easter celebration. We are so excited to share this special springtime event with other CP families!

Check-in is at 9:45 a.m. and the egg hunt will begin at 10:30 a.m. Admission is free for all to attend.
